After multiple tests of cold brew coffee and comparing it with over ice, the outcome is...

A few weeks ago I began experimenting with some different cold brew methods along with ratios. Here are the two easiest methods I found for cold brewing coffee at home: the Simple Life Mason Jar filter and the Mizudashi cold brew pot.

I really like the simplicity and concept of the Simple Life Mason jar stainless steel mesh filter. It is green, simple to use and cost effective. The Mizudashi cold brew pot definitely is sleek and flashy! All of the instructions came in Japanese. Thank you, Google, for help with the translation. The downside to this one is you have to make a full batch. No partials or smaller amounts otherwise you don't get water in contact with the coffee to brew.

The outcome of my taste testing cold brew vs coffee over ice... I don't like cold brew. For the love of life, I can't figure out what all the excitement is about. Rwanda vs Rwanda in this pic. Over ice is stunning! Smooth, sweet and refreshing. Cold brew not so much. I don't like the taste, mouthfeel or atertaste. #imovercoldbrew #mavensphotooftheday #lamppostcoffee#roastwell #lifestooshorttodrinkbadcoffee #coffeelife #reallifeadventures#manualbrewing #overicewins
